Headteacher's Welcome
It is a pleasure to welcome you to Forest Park School, a Hampshire local authority maintained special school. We provide education for children and young people aged 2-19 years with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties. In addition, the majority of our pupils have co-occurring needs including Autism, Down Syndrome and physical disabilities.
Forest Park is split across two sites, one mile apart. We have a Primary School in Ringwood Road, Totton catering for around 100 children and a Secondary School in Commercial Road Totton, catering for around 40 young people with the most profound and complex learning difficulties.
At Forest Park we are committed to providing a highly personalised curriculum and stimulating learning environment, which starts with the individual needs of each child and young person. We seek to prepare every member of our school community for the next significant phase in their lives, whatever that might be. In addition, we are dedicated to ensuring that our pupils enjoy school, are happy, confident and proud of themselves and their achievements.
In school we are supported by and work in collaboration with, a range of professionals including School Nurses, Speech and Language therapists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Hire our facilities
At Forest Park we have a range of spaces that can be hired for events and functions. As a Special School our facilities are fully accessible and safe for use by those with special needs.
Below is the information regarding the spaces available.
Lettings Rates
We have a range of rooms available for hire on our Primary site. Costs include access to toilet facilities.
School Hall: £15 per hour
Sprung wooden floor
Removable screens to Music room
Projector, screen and laptop with sound system and microphone
Chairs (up to 100)
Tables can be available
School Dining Hall: £15 per hour

The pool hire would require hirers to provide a lifeguard.
Available as extras to other above hire:
Soft Play room: £20 per hour
Small fully foamed area (suitable for 5/6 primary age pupils max)
Multi-Sensory room: £20 per hour
Small partially foamed and carpeted room with sensory equipment
Additional charges:
£5 for 15 minutes (per let) for setting up /clearing up time
Site staff:
During term time (Monday –Friday):
No additional charge for site staff.
The letting is available between 15.30 and 18.30
After 18.30 is £20 per hour
All Weekends:
£20 per hour Saturdays
£25 per hour on Sundays
School Holidays:
£15 per hour Monday - Friday between 7.00 and 18.30
£20 per hour after 18.30

Sample pricing for an event:
A 2x hour children’s party on a Saturday:
School Dining Hall @£15 per hour = £30.00
15 minute setting up /clearing up time @ £5 = £ 5.00
Soft Play for 1 hour @ £20 per hour= £20.00
Site Staff on site during party @ £20 per hour= £40.00
SUB TOTAL: £95.00
VAT@20%: £19.00
TOTAL: £114.00
